Houses/Flats

When can I do a viewing ?

  • We do viewings Mon – Fri between 9 am and 5.30pm, evenings nd weekends by appointment
  • All viewings must be booked in advance to avoid disappointment.

What do I need to move in ?

  • We require some form of photo ID, ie passport, driving licence or student ID card.
  • 1 months rent and 1 months deposit (placed in the DPS scheme) in advance
  • A reference from your last 2 landlords.
  • Copies of your last 3 months bank statement
  • Completion of a credit check
  • Your bank details to set up the Direct Debit.

Do you accept Housing Benefit ?

  • Yes we do on some properties, however you need to have a guarantor if you are receiving Housing Benefit

What about the bills ?

  • We will ensure that meter readings are taken and that they are transferred in to your name.

How can I pay my rent ?

  • You pay rent calendar monthly by direct debit.
  • Unfortunately we don’t accept cash payments for rent due to bank charges.

Rooms

When can I do a viewing ?

  • If you are under 21 or a student we will need a guarantor
  • You must pay 2 weeks rent in advance along with a 3 week deposit.
  • A reference from your last 2 landlords.
  • Your bank details to set up the Direct Debit.

Will I get my deposit back at the end of the contract ?

  • Absolutely, so long as there is no damages and the property is left in a clean condition. Once you have given us the correct notice then it will be sent to your bank accout within 7 working days.

How can I reserve a room ?

  • You can reserve any room by paying the deposit. PLEASE NOTE that this is only refundable if the tenancy can not continue on the instruction of MCL Property or the landlord. It will NOT be refunded if you change your mind or you can not proceed with the tenancy for whatever reason.
  • Please note that we do not have to give you a reason as to why we were not able to continue with the tenancy.

  • You will also need to pay 1 months rent in advance.

What about the bills ?

  • Bills are always included in your rent unless otherwise stated before hand.
